(Principal), is a founding member of the TheatreDreams organization. After launching several successful retail enterprises, in the 1980’s he founded Dollar Bills, a retail chain that grew to 134 stores in seven states. The company was sold in 1996. Since then, Alper’s main focus has been business consulting and investments. A graduate of the University of Maryland and a resident of Chicago, he is a trustee of the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art and serves on committees of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Smart Gallery at the University of Chicago, and is active in other charitable organizations.
